WHAT A BLAST! I have to be honest. Going to this camp, was a big deal for me. I felt like I was in my kids shoes and a little voice in my head was telling me, "It's good to do things that stretch us... that's how we grow". For the first time in a REAL long time, I was very anxious. Being pulled out of my comfort zone...about meeting this group of people that I have now become apart of. Not really knowing a soul other than a few interactions with Tristan. My first encounter was with Bruce. Need I say more?! He greeted me, welcomed me and instantly I felt the "warmth potential" that the team had... Then sat at the table with Brian, Mike, and Ian... at that point, those are the only faces that I remember. I connected with Brian immediately as he is a PT about 60min south of me.. (yes, in Colorado) and Ian makes my favorite handbags (Dooney & Bourke). Adam really took me under his wing, and for that I will be forever grateful... He ran with me, shared his burger with me and was my go to guy with any questions. Cindi... had a great conversation with her at the end of a lunch run /photo shoot combo. She said, "Remember, you are here, because you have ALREADY proven yourself as an athlete, so just have fun and continue to give back to the sport just as you are doing." Anyway, I could go on... but the bottom line is simple; everyone is amazing, loving, welcoming and I am so honored that I am apart of the Timex Family... because that is what it is!
