My season opener was the Nautica South Beach Olympic Triathlon; The first race in the Toyota Cup Series. Now that my hammy mechanical dysfunction is becoming a thing of the past, I had really dialed up my training over the winter months. I was very anxious to see if all the hard work was going to pay off. I set three goals for the day; in hopes that at least one would be met. Well, one was met and that was to podium and bring home a little hardware. This was my first Toyota Cup Race and I was very impressed. They did a top notch job from packet pick-up to awards. I definately blew out some cobwebs and I am ready to hit it again May 1st at St. Anthony's. A big thanks to Catalina Pines for the photo, Teammate Daniel for his support, TIMEX (namely TRISTAN) for getting me the gear I needed in time, Justin's for the travel pack Nut Butters, and Ryan at www.kompetitiveedge.com for getting my Orbea Ordu race ready! Btw, that was my first race with the new Race Trainer Pro and I can't believe how much I love that watch on the side of my wrist. BOOM! Enjoy your training =)
