CapTexTri is a race I have been trying to get on my schedule for years. I was very happy when it fit in nicely this year. It was worth the wait! A quick run down: Swim was great! I finally and a decent swim and I was ranked 7th. What this tells me is people in Texas can't swim! I have never ranked that high in the swim EVER! I loved biking around the Capital on this anything but flat course. I ranked 4th on the bike. The run was good until the second lap. The heat/humidity got the best of me and the WIND! Wow, so hard to run into that headwind. Needless to say, I moved into 10th at this point but was still relatively satisfied with my day as my goal was to nail a top 10 finish.
