Well folks, here it is, another one in the books. This year was awesome! I was able to race a full season and reaped a little success a long the way during this year of rebuilding. I am excited to announce that I feel that I am about 100% healed. After Clearwater, I have had significant improvement in my run paces and watts on the bike. It is an incredible place to be. I owe a lot of people a big "THANK YOU". Here it goes....

My girls: your sympathy and encouragement you gave your Mamma was well beyond your years.
My Clients: for your ongoing support through the process.
My Teammates: thank you for always checking up on my progress.
My Sister Thia : for telling me I wasn't fat when I was!
My Masseuse Jo: for your diligent weekly deep tissue treatments as my body went through so much adaptation.
My Therapist Pete: you fixed me, you made me whole when everyone else told me I couldn't be fixed. Thank you for the radical treatments and your "out of the box" thinking.
Kerry Sullivan: for showing me a side to training I had not yet experienced
Bikesource, KSwiss, Mix1, TriSwim: for supporting me, supporting me, supporting me!
Timex: for providing me with all the support, love, compassion and understanding any athlete could ever imagine

And to my coach Melissa Mantak: Thank you so much. Its been one long bumpy road. I will pat myself on the back, I'm not sure too many would have endured. From day one I tried to remain positive for healing and was constant in my search of what needed to be done. I am grateful for you; your attentiveness to my needs, your encouragement, sympathy, compassion, love, support and desire to seek out methods to lift me, if only slightly, in a forward direction. There really was never the next 'level' as the progress was too slow and miniscual for that. I kept the story of the little chicks you sent me as the center of my beliefs.. Its incredible the amount of knowledge I have gained through this process. Some days I didn't care about being a better coach, I just wanted to be the athlete I was... but in the end, I might just get both. There is absolutely no way I could have endured this without you. I am strong, but you were strong when I was weak and its during those weak times that critical decisions were made and words were said to keep me patient and believing that I could become whole again. I could have NEVER done this with out you. NEVER. Thank you for staying by my side through this hard time, I know that wasn't easy for you and I recognize this victory is just as big, if not bigger, for you than it is for me. Here is to many more years of the Melissa/Trista duo... watch out world!!

I'll NEVER tell you you're fat (unless you're fat!)
